Rides manufacturer Zamperla has designed the amusement park element of a new entertainment and commercial project in Baghdad, Iraq.
The company is also supplying all the rides for the park - scheduled to open in September 2011 and named Sinbad Land - which has been designed with two main areas: a family and children’s area and a teenage area.
The former will feature a wide selection of the company’s most popular family and children’s attractions, including a Rocking Tug, Jump Around, Convoy, Family Swinger, Happy Swing and Jumping Tower.
The teenage zone will incorporate a selection of Zamperla's best thrill rides, such as a Disk'O Coaster, Air Race, Twister Coaster and Vertical Swing.
Situated in the heart of Baghdad, near the Green Zone, the whole project will cover a total area of 400,000sq m (4.3m sq ft), of which 200,000sq m (2.1m sq ft) is an artificial lake and 60,000sq m (646,000sq ft) the amusement park.
